Why the Catholic Church Supports Local Organizing Agreements

Because it's the right thing to do.

Recognizing that Catholic Health Institutions' employees have a right to organize without the kind of intimidation and harassment Saint John's RNs are currently facing, the US Council of Catholic Bishops recently issued a set of guidelines for Catholic Health Institutions to use while negotiating agreements for a fair organizing process.  Despite Federal prosecution for Unfair Labor Practices, Saint John's administration continues to defy the Church's recommendation.
